FAES and the Hanns Seidel Foundation analyse the Spanish and Portuguese situation before the European elections

José María Aznar, former President of Government of Spain, holds the presidency of this Board. The board is comprised of former Prime Ministers and other prominent profiles, those present today were Amal Abdulla Al Qubaisi, President of the Federal National Council of United Arab Emirates; John Bruton, former Prime Minister of Ireland; Anna Diamantopoulou, former European Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs, and Equal Opportunities; Jadranka Kosor, ex-Prime Minister of Croatia; Anders Fogh Rasmussen, former Prime Minister of Denmark and former Secretary General of NATO; Christian Wulff, ex-President of Germany.

Aznar, in New York: "Stability and reforms are the best employment policies"  

/01.10.15/.-  José María Aznar joined in New York the Concordia Summit today, where he claimed that stability and reforms are the best tools to boost youth employment. ‘Governments should establish the necessary conditions for companies to create new jobs by committing to stability and to constantly monitor the economy. ‘Stability and reforms are the best employment policies,’ he stated.

/30.06.15/.-  José María Aznar launched FAES' strategic report 'Inequality, Opportunities and Welfare Society in Spain', of which he said ‘it is essential to talk about this’ as ‘it is absurd not to mention the problems we have on the table right now or that may arise in the future.’ He also regretted that ‘in Spain, the essential debate is about the amount of money that goes into so-called social policies and not into the efficient use of those resources.’
