"The PP has the responsibility to lead and call for political change”/19.01.19/.- 19.01.19.-
José María Aznar has intervened in the National Convention of the Popular Party “España en libertad” (Spain in freedom), where he has assured that “the PP has the responsibility to lead and to call for political change against those who bet on the failure of Spain and against those who receive their support.” “Let no one be deceived. Spain has set itself an existential challenge. And we have to respond with votes,” stated Aznar, who added that “the votes that Spain needs to successfully respond to this challenge against its historical continuity and its future are the votes which should go to the Popular Party and which, from now on, I ask for the Popular Party.”
Interview at Radio Internacional | “It is necessary to defend those ideas upon which the Transition was based”/19.12.18/.- 19.12.18.-
José María Aznar has stated that “what the PP needs is to be itself, to reaffirm itself, to become that party in which to identify its fundamental principles.” “The parties defending constitutional ideals are concentrated in the centre-right spectrum. The Socialist Party, which was one of the pillars of the constitutional order, has ceased to be so, and that is a very serious problem when forging any consensus. Now, there is no such a consensus. It is necessary to defend those ideas upon which the Transition was based. And that can certainly be done,” he reasoned.
"Casado is much better than Aznar was"/16.12.18/.- 16.12.18.-
José María Aznar has given an interview to the newspapers of the Editorial Prensa Ibérica in which he assures that "Spain lives without a doubt the worst situation in the last forty years" and that "just as we have to do in order to defeat terrorism, it is necessary to disarticulate the separatists".
